This article explains how to replace the coax light assembly on a VF7 machine. It provides you with the required tools, parts and links to the service video on youtube which includes detailed instructions on the process.

Required Tools

  • 2mm Allen Key

  • 2.5mm Allen Key

  • 3mm Allen Key

  • Philips Screw Driver

Required Parts

  • Coax Light Assembly

Instructions

The following detailed instructions are presented in the video below and can be displayed by enabling the subtitle/closed captions in the video player.

  1. Turn off the power switch

  2. Unplug the USB cable

  3. Unplug the power cable Caution: please hold the machine firmly

  4. Remove the 6 screws on the machine back cover

  5. Take off the machine back cover

  6. Remove the tightening screw

  7. Unplug cables connected to the board Remove the entire coax light assembly

  8. Disassemble the board and install it onto the new coax light assembly

  9. Disassemble the back cover And install it onto the new coax light assembly

  10. Install the newly assembled coax light

  11. Plug the cable back in

  12. Re-install the tightening screw

  13. Re-install the machine back cover

  14. Re-install the 6 screws

  15. Plug the USB cable back

  16. Plug the power cable back and hold the machine firmly till you hear a 'click'

  17. Go to C\ Program Files (x86)\ Micro-Vu Corporation\ InSpec for Windows\ Tools

  18. Open the app 'PH1Test'

  19. Go to the tab 'Lights'

  20. In the 'Coax' section: Slide the tuning slider to the right

  21. You should now be able to adjust the coax light intensity as shown
