Standby Error
Problem
This troubleshooting article applies only to Post 2020 Machines
If the machine is not operating and the” information light” at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:
0000 0100
Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.
This code is always displayed when the machine is on standby, it is not necessarily an error code
Solution
The following items provide step by step instructions on how to break down the cause of the issue:
Try to get the machine out of standby by pressing the front button
If that doesn’t work, try the redundant power button on the amplifier board like shown in the picture
If that works, then one of the following has a hardware issue:
Front Button
Front Button cable to the Logic Board
The cable between the Logic Board and the Amplifier Board
Logic Board
Amplifier Board
If that doesn’t work, the machine is failing to boot up. There is a hardware issue in:
Logic Board
Amplifier Board
Temperature Sensor Board
