Calibration Interval for Grids

The calibration interval should be determined by the end user.

Miro-Vu calibration grids are stable as the glass substrate does not flow at room temperature. Under normal circumstances the calibration does not change, however, the coating of the Micro-Vu calibration grids is vulnerable to damage. The mechanisms for damage include mechanical wear, contamination, and exposure to liquids. The grids are sealed and stored after calibration to prevent these types of damage. The maximum time between calibrations (calibration interval) as well as the inservice date shall be determined by the end user and should be determined based on the user’s needs, use, and treatment of the grid.
