Disable Windows Core Isolation
Ensure that “Core Isolation” is disabled in the Windows Security settings prior to performing InSpec Classic installation. This is required when incompatible third-party drivers needed for legacy machine support are prevented from being loaded on Windows 11. If you are not encountering driver issues, disregard these instructions.
Open Windows Security by typing it into the Start menu or by navigating to it through the Settings app.
Navigate to Device Security in the left-hand pane.
Under “Core isolation”, click on “Core isolation details”.
Find the “Memory integrity” setting and toggle the switch to the “Off” position.
Restart. Restart your PC to ensure the change has taken effect.
After Core Isolation is disabled, attempt to install or launch InSpec Classic again.
