Check the lights of the probe module and probe head when attaching and touching the probe carefully with a finger.
For TP-20:
The PH6 LED should be off when the TP-20 module is not attached
The PH6 LED should be on when the TP-20 module is attached
Touching the TP-20 module should blink the PH6 probe head LED off, regardless of whether the touch probe is the active sensor in InSpec or not.
TP-200:
The PH6 LED should be on when the TP-200 module is not attached
The PH6 LED should be on when the TP-200 module is attached
Touching the TP-200 module when InSpec is not set to touch probe should cause:
the PH6 probe head LED not to blink but it will remain on
the TP-200 probe module LED should turn on blinkTouching the TP-200 module when InSpec is set to touch probe should cause:
the PH6 probe head LED to blink off
the TP-200 probe module LED to brighten by an amount commensurate with the probe force as it is deflected.
Check the DIP switches of the PI-200 probe interface. Accessing this box might require disassembling parts of the machine and should only be executed by Micro-Vu dealers.
