Problem

This troubleshooting article applies only to post 2020 machines

If the machine is not operating and the” information light” next to the power button and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:

0010 0100 x-axis

0010 0101 y-axis

0010 0110 z-axis

Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.

Since this is a high priority error, the internal piezo speaker will also output an accoustic signal with the same pattern.

This pattern indicates that the encoders are counting the opposite direction from the commanded motion.

Solution

Check the following items:

  • Check all encoder cables are plugged in the right place.

  • Check the pinning on individual encoder cables.

  • This can occur if the machine has a faulty configuration. Contact the Micro-Vu support for further assistance
