Problem

This troubleshooting article applies only to post 2020 machines

If the machine is not operating and the” information light” at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:

0010 0000 x-axis

0010 0001 y-axis

0010 0010 z-axis

Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.

Since this is a high priority error, the internal piezo speaker will also output an accoustic signal with the same pattern.

This pattern indicates a fundamental error of the encoder if it is not plugged in or the cables are otherwise faulty.

Solution

Check the connection of the following cables:

  • Linear encoder to Breakout Board Cable

  • Breakout Board to Logic Board Cable

  • No labels
