Camera error: failed to recover camera stream

Here are some tools recommended to be installed prior to troubleshooting the camera issue.

Solution

  1. Close InSpec and power off the machine

  2. Remove the machine Z cover

  • Unplug the short cable that connects the camera with the zoom logic board on the left side of the Vertex Z beam. See the picture on the right.

  • Unplug the USB-A connector and plug it into your testing PC or laptop that has already installed the apps mentioned above.

  • Open the IC Capture software and select the camera type that pops up, is there any error message?

  • Yes, send it to us.
  • No, are you able to trigger the camera? This could be done by simply placing a sample on the stage and using a flashlight to illuminate.

In case you can’t establish a connection to the camera, make sure you don’t use a third party anti-virus software or disable it. Some software is blocking the USB camera stream which can be unblocked by the IT department.
