This informations applies to P2 Machines models. |
Post 2020 machines signal error conditions with audible and/or visual codes which are included explained in the table below.
Error conditions are signaled by blinking of the “information status light” next to the power button at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board. High priority codes will be accompanied by audible beeping of the same pattern.
Operation Modes
Two general operation modes can be differentiated:
- Normal operation is indicated by:
1/2 second on
- , followed by
1/2 second off
- , continuous blinking.
- Error condition is indicated by
- :
2 second
- off, followed by
1/
- 4 second
- (0
- Normal operation is indicated by:
1/2 second on (1) followed by
1/2 second off (0) continuous blinking.
- Error condition is indicated by:
2 second off (0) followed by1/4 second (short) or
Fault Codes
info- , short) or 1 second (1, long)
Fault Codes
The pulses in error condition indicate an eight-bit binary error-code with:
- short pulse = 0 which is 1/4 second long
- long pulse = 1 which is 1 second long
Low Priority Codes
Visual signal of the information light and firmware LED only
Code | Meaning |
---|---|
An emergency stop button has been depressed. This is not strictly an error condition. | |
The pendant is missing or malfunctioning. | |
The machine is in standby mode. | |
The x-axis has encountered an encoder limit. | |
The y-axis has encountered an encoder limit. | |
The z-axis has encountered an encoder limit. | |
Stall, x-axis. The motor could not move the stage. | |
Stall, y-axis. | |
Stall, z-axis. | |
Following error fault, x-axis. The following error for the motion control system has exceeded the fault threshold. | |
Following error fault, y-axis. | |
Following error fault, z-axis. | |
Synchronization error fault, x-axis. The linear and rotary encoder differ too much. | |
Synchronization error fault, y-axis. | |
Synchronization error fault, z-axis. | |
Overcurrent, x-axis. The amplifier board has reported that the axis current has exceeded its configured maximum. | |
Overcurrent, y-axis. | |
Overcurrent, z-axis. | |
0001 0110 | Servo overtime fault. The regulator failed to be run in a timely manner. |
Find volume fault. The find volume process for the x, y, and z-axis failed. | |
Find range fault. The find range process for the zoom motor failed. | |
Platen device fault. The platen has encountered an error and is in a faulted state. | |
0001 1011 | Rotary device fault. The rotary has encountered an error and is in a faulted state. |
High Priority Codes
Visual signal of the information light and firmware LED in combination with accoustic signal of the pieze speaker.
