Runaway Error

Problem

If the machine is not operating and the” information light” at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:

Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.

Since this is a high priority error, the internal piezo speaker will also output an acoustic signal with the same pattern.

This pattern indicates that the axis is moving without being commanded to do so.

Solution

Check the following items:

• Check that all the encoder and motor cables are plugged in the right place.

• There could be a major electrical malfunction in the Amplifier Board.
