Automation Hub in InSpec Classic Software
InSpec Software version 2.10x includes a visual programming interface and framework for controlling Micro-Vu measuring machines called Automation Hub.
Examples of Automation Hub applications:
Execute basic logic operations involving variables and functions.
Launch an InSpec program, process values and machine status information.
Dynamically determine which InSpec program to run based on custom logic.
Synchronize multiple Micro-Vu machines over LAN.
Process feature properties, such as QR-code and link other InSpec programs.
Communicate with PLCs. Integrate your Micro-Vu system with a robot or automated production line.
Automation Hub can be accessed through InSpec Tools menu - Automation.
These are possible Automation Hub setups:
a) One machine is controlled and the Automation Hub runs on the same computer as InSpec. This setup is useful for running a sequence of InSpec programs automatically or changing programs dynamically based on feature measurements. Logic operations can be executed through Automation Hub.
b) Users can control multiple machines that are connected to the same network. The Automation Hub can run on a separate computer or on one running InSpec.
c) The Automation Hub can act as a slave for a PLC or other Modbus enabled devices. Multiple Micro-Vu machines can be integrated with robots and other external devices to create a fully automated cell. The Automation Hub handles all the complications of controlling the machines internally while exposing a simple, customizable interface to the user.
