Logic Board Replacement

This article applies to the following machine models:

Excel 50X, 60X, 66X, 10XX, 16XX, 2000, 2500

Vertex 251, 31X

SOL 161, 31X

A machine calibration is not necessary after exchanging the logic board.

Before replacing the board, create a backup of the Micro-Vu machine information as a precaution. To do this, save the folder named "InSpec for Windows" in an external memory. This folder is located here: C:\ProgramData\Micro-Vu Corporation

Turn the machine off, then proceed to disconnect all the cables from the logic board.

Note that on the board there is a name for each cable connection. It is suggested to mark with a tape pasted on the cable the name of the connection before unplugging it, this way it will be easier to replug all cables in the correct connector on the new logic board.

Once all the connections are done power the machine on and open InSpec.

The Alpha Machine Setup window (See image 1) will open. Enter the model and machine serial number in the boxes. Make sure that the box next to Make Changes Permanent is NOT checked.

Then proceed to click Flash Update.

Open InSpec and check that everything works as expected. Check the calibration results under the Machine menu and review that all calibrations are there.

Once you are sure that the machine is working correctly you may check the box Make Changes Permanent on Alpha Machine Setup and click on Flash Update.
