Replace a Zoom Lens

This procedure should be done by an authorized Micro-Vu dealer

Before unplugging any cables or components from the machine make sure the machine is turned off.

Move the Z axis all the way to the bottom, as close to the glass as possible.

Mark with a pencil or piece of tape, where the Z-stage end aligns with the Optics Shroud, so this can be mounted at the same height when assembling it back together.

 

Follow the steps shown in the video attached to remove the zoom assembly from the machine.

After replacing the Zoom assembly, please perform the following procedures as described in the machine installation and maintenance guide:

  1. Par-focal Adjustment

  2. Par-centric Adjustment

  3. Camera Height

  4. Camera Squareness

  5. Optics Calibration

  6. Lights Calibration

  7. Stage verification

  8. Stage Calibration if the results of the stage verification are not satisfactory
