Clean the Camera

Clean the Camera

This procedure should be performed by an authorized Micro-Vu dealer.

Move the Z axis to the top of the travel in InSpec in high magnification.

Adjust the lights in order to find any spots that may be visible on the camera. If there are noticeable spots follow these steps to clean the camera:

  1. Remove the camera by the parfocal adjustment as shown in Image 1.

2. Using a cotton swab and 99% alcohol clean the camera sensor slowly from the top of the camera sensor to the bottom. Repeat this movement slowly from top to bottom of the sensor until the entire sensor has been covered.

Since the Z stage is at the top of the travel, any dust visible on the camera window should be either on the camera or the lens. Check the camera cleanliness by placing the camera/parfocal adjustment on the lens assembly and looking in InSpec camera window. Dust and spots on the lens will not move when the stage is moved.

Repeat this process until the sensor is clean.
