Camera Image Flipped
Problem
This article only applies to Post 2020 Machines
In some rare cases, the camera image is mirrored or flipped after the PC is restored from standby mode.
Solution
For an immediate solution and to restore proper functionality of the system, follow the steps below:
close InSpec
shut down the computer
switch off Micro-Vu machine by flipping the switch on the back of the machine or unplugging the power supply
wait for 15 seconds
reconnect the machine to the power supply
boot computer
turn on the Micro-Vu machine
launch InSpec
If the error still persists, the optics calibration needs to be performed.
In order to avoid this error in the future, disable the energy-saving settings by following the instructions below:
Disable USB power-saving mode
open the “device manager”
expand “Universal Serial Bus controllers”
right-click on all “USB Root Hub” devices and perform the following steps:
navigate to the tab “Power Management”
uncheck the box at “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
close the window by clicking “OK”
repeat these steps for all “USB Root Hub” devices
Disable “USB selective suspend settings”
open “edit power plan” in the windows control panel
select “change advanced power settings”
navigate to “USB settings” → “USB selective suspend settings”
change “USB selective suspend settings” to disabled
click “Apply” and close settings
