E-Stop Error
Problem
This troubleshooting article applies only to Post 2020 Machines
If the machine is not operating and the” information light” at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:
0000 0001
Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.
Solution
The following items provide step by step instructions on how to break down the cause of the issue:
Open MotorScope and check which button is pressed
Pendant E-Stop is detected as pressed when the pendant is disconnected
Chassis E-Stop is detected as pressed when the jumper is missing from J17. The jumper is needed on machines without a built-in E-Stop (i.e. Vertex).
ADIO E-Stop is detected as pressed when DIP switch S1 is in the Enable position. Set to Bypass unless an external E-Stop is being used.
If no specific E-Stop button is pressed, but the machine is still in E-Stop without any fault occurring:
Press the Front Button to see if it is possible to turn it green.
If not, there is a hardware issue:
Logic Board
Temperature Sensor Boards
