Fan Error

Problem

If the machine is not operating and the” information light” at the rear status panel of the machine and the firmware LED on the logic board flashes with the following eight-bit pattern as described here:

Where 0 indicates a short pulse which is 1/4 second and 1 indicates a long pulse which is 1 second long.

Since this is a high priority error, the internal piezo speaker will also output an acoustic signal with the same pattern.

This indicates that the electronics enclosure fan is not being detected as spinning.

Solution

Check if the fan is spinning:

• If it is spinning:

  • The cable may be malfunctioning. Replace the fan.

  • Logic Board could be malfunctioning

• If it is not spinning:

  • The fan is malfunctioning, replace the fan.

  • Logic Board could be malfunctioning
